Day care

Center of ours has been developed in a manner to contain a daycare facility within the premises. We ensure that if the center has children below the age of 2 they are placed in a safe, well ventilated, clean and enriching environment where they are cared by loving staff. This facility also extends to older children (beyond the age of 6) belonging to other schools as well. Please contact our center for further details.

Playgroup

As the name suggests it’s time to play in groups! Roughly when a child has started speaking few words and may be small sentences, child is ready for toilet training, child can walk steady and run, child develops hand eye coordination, teething is a big issue as at this age and children tend to bite others to satisfy irritation in their gums and sometimes also to fight, communicate or get attention. Their attention span increases and nap time decreases substantially. This is the time to develop their social skills along with their physical, emotional and intellectual development by engaging them in group activities that stimulate learning through all senses and whole body.

Nursery

The first step of formal learning begins in Nursery. The primary objective of Nursery program at Maple School™ is to provide an environment where 3yr olds can express their self to the fullest. They first learn how to communicate, play and interact with others. Emphasis is placed on your child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical developmental needs on an individual basis. Our rich classroom environment focuses on literacy skills and well known children's books make the perfect springboard for exciting activities. Three-year-olds learn primarily through exploring using all the senses. Language for three-year-olds is taking off. Our teaching approach engages young minds with a blend of music, art, storytelling and movement. Children of this age develop their logical reasoning skills as they play. As they become more independent, they begin to have real friendships with other children and typically seek adult assistance.

LKG

When it comes to learning, four-year-olds are developing greater self-control and ingenuity. They begin communicating in complex and compound sentences, have very few pronunciation errors and expand their vocabularies daily. They use logical reasoning to solve everyday problems and can effectively use language to compare and describe objects and shapes. They can participate in the planning and implementation of simple scientific investigations and over the course of the year will increase their abilities to make observations, gather information, compare data, identify patterns, describe and discuss observations. Emotionally, four-year-olds continue to learn what causes certain feelings and realize that others may react to the same situation differently. With the support of their teachers, children learn to discover, explore and extend multiple intelligences through rich and varied specialist-led experiences in the arts and science. To make learning fun, children are taught all of the above through hands-on activities, stories and craft activities. At Maple School the children also develop literary skills at an early age of education. They are engaged in meaningful reading and writing experiences, and they are encouraged to become readers and writers through a unique combination of child-initiated learning and teacher-guided instruction.

UKG

After revising the concepts learned in LKG, in the first phase, children move on to learn addition, subtraction, fractions, etc. Followed by hands-on science experiments and introduction to Hindi - our national language and State language’s. This child-centered program is designed for children between five and six years old. The Children’s House is designed as a whole environment integrating four main areas of learning: Practical Life, Sensorial, Arithmetic and Language. Practical Life exercises instill care for self, for others, and for the environment. include many of the tasks children see as part of the daily routine in their home, such as preparing food and cleaning activities, along with exercises of grace and courtesy. Through these tasks, children develop muscular coordination, enabling movement and the exploration of their surroundings. They learn to work at a task from beginning to end, and develop their powers of control and concentration. Sensorial materials serve as tools for development. Children build cognitive skills, and learn to order and classify impressions by touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, listening, and exploring the physical properties of their environment. Language development is vital to human development. The Montessori environment is rich in oral language opportunities, allowing the child to experience conversations, stories and poetry. The sandpaper letters help children link sound and symbol effortlessly, encouraging the development of written expression and reading skills. To further reading development, children are exposed to the study of grammar. Language is integrated across the above three curricular areas and further developed through contextual vocabulary acquisition, informative conversations, singing, and grammar. Arithmetic activities gives children a sound understanding of basic mathematical principles as addition, subtraction, multiplication & division which prepares them for later abstract reasoning, and helps to develop problem-solving capabilities. Geography, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Art and Music are presented as extensions of the sensorial and language activities. Children learn about people and cultures in other countries with an attitude of respect and admiration. Through familiarity, children come to feel connected to the global human family.
